Self Concept: Who Do You See?
Many people are confused about the terms “self-concept” and “self-esteem” and use them interchangeably. However, while there are some similarities there is a difference. Self-concept has more to do with what you do or accomplish. It’s more about how you view your own level of competency with accomplishing tasks. Self-esteem is more about feelings and how you rate your relationships.
Self-concept therefore ties into a more broad definition of self- esteem, yet provides a way of viewing oneself and how well you are aware of the good you do.
This test will examine your self-concept. Self-concept has many dimensions: it is comprised of factors such as: what you do; what you have or are accomplishing; how you view your health, your interactions, and your personality. Self-concept can also be defined by the phrase, “Who am I?” This test will help you clarify your focus and answer that question. Find out more about YOU by taking this inventory.
